This is my first animation, although it's not my best piece of work I learned a lot from making this.
REFLECTION: in terms of the creative process, it helped me to not be intimidated by intimidating programs or projects. Now that I have this 1 minute animation, I feel like I could create anything if I set my mind to it and have the time. In terms of the content of this piece, the climax with the purple kaleidoscope thing rly hits it’s like the right amount of stimulation I was going for. I could add so many other elements and play with color schemes so much for the rest of the animation tho to make more of a coherent piece.
Project on Optical Illusions.
This first piece is a rendition of the Ghanaian Symbol "Onyamini" which means God's Eye it comes from the Ashanti region and twi dialect. I was inspired to do this piece specifically because in both my West African Music Ensemble class and Africana Philosophy class the symbol kept reappearing.
