The Homeland
# Story This is an ode to the process of turning my room from solely a functional living space to a multifaceted installation for others to enjoy and expression of my being. It was a long process of decoration and it feels like it will never be finished, but I wanted this video to also serve as documentation of it’s current state and an invitation for you to come thru and check it out :)
@pomonacollege filmed a feature on my room in Oldenborg in 2019 which shared a lot of the same decorations, but in a different form, but the video was never released. Then the pandemic followed and the full grandeur of that room was packed away. While taking Experimental Media Studio last semester with Professor Ma we were tasked to create a piece of artwork related to SPACE, and I wanted to create a music video sequel.
Now more than a school project - I continued to work on the song with Ian Beck and Josh Quintana to present The Homeland 👩🏾🚀 Hope you enjoy!
